Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief (2010) DVDRip

Plot

In New York City, Zeus and Poseidon meet at the top of the Empire State Building, where Zeus reveals that his master lightning bolt has been stolen and accuses Poseidon's demigod son, Percy Jackson, of the theft. Poseidon reminds him that Percy is unaware of his true identity, but Zeus declares that unless his master bolt is returned to Mount Olympus before the next summer solstice, war will be waged.

Percy is a sixteen-year-old teenager who appears to be dyslexic, but has a unique ability to stay underwater for a long time. While on a school trip to the local museum, Percy is attacked by a Fury disguised as his substitute teacher, who demands the lightning bolt. Percy's best friend, Grover Underwood, and his Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner — both of whom appear disabled — help Percy and scare off the Fury. Upon learning of the Fury's reason for the attack, Mr. Brunner gives Percy a pen, tells him it is a powerful weapon, and has Grover take Percy and his mother Sally to Camp Half-Blood, leaving behind Sally's husband Gabe Ugliano. However, the three are attacked by a minotaur that appears to kill Sally, who is unable to enter the camp. Grover tells Percy to use the pen, and Percy discovers that it is a sword, which he uses to fight the minotaur, without initial success. Percy kills the minotaur with its own horn, then faints from shock.

Three days later, Percy wakes up in the camp. He learns that he is the son of Poseidon, that Grover is a disguised satyr and his protector, and that Mr. Brunner is the centaur Chiron, also initially disguised. Chiron suggests that Percy go to Mount Olympus to convince Zeus of his innocence. Percy begins training to use his demigod powers, which include water manipulation and using water to heal. He also meets other demigods, including Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena; and Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. After winning a Capture the Flag game, Percy is visited by a fiery apparition of his uncle Hades, who reveals that Sally is with him in the Underworld and that he will return her safely if Percy hands over the lightning bolt. Defying Chiron's orders, Percy decides to go to the Underworld, joined by Grover and Annabeth. They visit Luke, who gives them a map showing the location of three pearls belonging to Hades' wife, Persephone, which they can use to escape the Underworld. They are also given a shield and a pair of winged sneakers Luke stole from his father.

The trio heads out, locating the first pearl at an old garden center but encountering Medusa, who tries to kill them until decapitated by Percy; her head is taken with them for later use. They locate the second pearl in the Parthenon in Nashville; Percy uses the winged shoes to take it from a statue of Athena. However, they are then confronted by the Hydra, which Grover petrifies using Medusa's head. The third pearl is located at the Lotus Casino in Las Vegas, where the three eat lotus flowers and forget their reason for being there. They stay in the casino for five days until Poseidon speaks in Percy's mind, helping Percy return to his senses. Percy frees Grover and Annabeth from the effects of the flowers and they flee, discovering that the casino is run by the Lotus-Eaters. With all three pearls in their possession, Percy, Grover, and Annabeth head into the Underworld, the portal to which is located in Hollywood.

In the Underworld, they meet Hades and Persephone. Though Percy tells Hades that he does not have the lightning bolt, Hades finds it hidden inside Luke's shield, revealing that Luke is the lightning thief. Persephone knocks Hades out with the lightning bolt to get back at him for imprisoning her for all eternity and hands the bolt to Percy. However, because they only have three pearls, Grover remains with Persephone to allow Percy's mother to leave. Percy, Annabeth, and Sally teleport to the Empire State Building but are attacked by Luke, who wants to destroy Mount Olympus to secure the demigods' place as the new rulers of the gods. After a fight across Manhattan, Percy defeats Luke and returns the lightning bolt to Zeus, who forgives Percy and allows Poseidon to briefly speak with his son. The film ends with Percy and Annabeth reuniting with Grover, who has grown horns (though only small ones), meaning he is a senior protector, and returning to the camp to continue their training.

In a post-credits scene, Gabe is being kicked out of Sally's house. He finds a note from Percy warning him not to open the fridge. Angrily ignoring it, he opens the fridge only to be petrified by Medusa's head.

Plot

In 965 AD, Odin, king of Asgard, wages war against the Frost Giants of Jotunheim and their leader Laufey, to prevent them from conquering the nine realms, starting with Earth. The Asgardian warriors defeat the Frost Giants and seize the source of their power, the Casket of Ancient Winters.

In the present, Odin's son Thor prepares to ascend to the throne of Asgard, but is interrupted when Frost Giants attempt to retrieve the Casket. Against Odin's order, Thor travels to Jotunheim to confront Laufey, accompanied by his brother Loki, childhood friend Sif and the Warriors Three: Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun. A battle ensues until Odin intervenes to save the Asgardians, destroying the fragile truce between the two races. For Thor's arrogance, Odin strips his son of his godly power and exiles him to Earth as a mortal, accompanied by his hammer Mjolnir, now protected by an enchantment that allows only the worthy to wield it.

Thor lands in New Mexico, where astrophysicist Jane Foster, her assistant Darcy Lewis and mentor Dr. Erik Selvig, find him. The local populace finds Mjolnir, which S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson soon commandeers before forcibly acquiring Jane's data about the wormhole that delivered Thor to Earth. Thor, having discovered Mjolnir's nearby location, seeks to retrieve it from the facility that S.H.I.E.L.D. quickly constructed but he finds himself unable to lift it, and is captured. With Selvig's help, he is freed and resigns himself to exile on Earth as he develops a romance with Jane.

Loki discovers that he is actually Laufey's son, adopted by Odin after the war ended. A weary Odin falls into the deep "Odinsleep" to recover his strength. Loki seizes the throne in Odin's stead and offers Laufey the chance to kill Odin and retrieve the Casket. Sif and the Warriors Three, unhappy with Loki's rule, attempt to return Thor from exile, convincing Heimdall, gatekeeper of the Bifröst—the means of traveling between worlds—to allow them passage to Earth. Aware of their plan, Loki sends the Destroyer, a seemingly indestructible automaton, to pursue them and kill Thor. The warriors find Thor, but the Destroyer attacks and defeats them, prompting Thor to offer himself instead. Struck by the Destroyer and near death, Thor's sacrifice proves him worthy to wield Mjolnir. The hammer returns to him, restoring his powers and enabling him to defeat the Destroyer. Kissing Jane goodbye and vowing to return, he and his fellow Asgardians leave to confront Loki.

In Asgard, Loki betrays and kills Laufey, revealing his true plan to use Laufey's attempt on Odin's life as an excuse to destroy Jotunheim with the Bifröst Bridge, thus proving himself worthy to his adoptive father. Thor arrives and fights Loki before destroying the Bifröst Bridge to stop Loki's plan, stranding himself in Asgard. Odin awakens and prevents the brothers from falling into the abyss created in the wake of the bridge's destruction, but Loki allows himself to fall when Odin rejects his pleas for approval. Thor makes amends with Odin, admitting he is not ready to be king; while on Earth, Jane and her team search for a way to open a portal to Asgard.

In a post-credits scene, Selvig has been taken to a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, where Nick Fury opens a briefcase and asks him to study a mysterious object, which Fury says may hold untold power. An invisible Loki prompts Selvig to agree, and he does.

Ratatouille (2007) Semi-HD

Plot :

Remy is an idealistic and ambitious young rat gifted with highly developed senses of taste and smell. Inspired by his idol, the recently deceased chef Auguste Gusteau, Remy dreams of becoming a cook himself. When his clan is forced to abandon its home because of a woman seeing them, Remy is separated from them resulting from gunshots by the woman. He ends up in the sewers of Paris and eventually finds himself at a skylight overlooking the kitchen of Gusteau's restaurant.

As Remy watches, a young man named Alfredo Linguini is hired as a garbage boy by Skinner, the restaurant's devious current owner and Gusteau's former sous-chef who uses Gusteau's image to woo customers into buying frozen foods from Skinner. When Linguini spills a pot of soup and attempts to recreate it with disastrous results, Remy falls into the kitchen and cooks the soup to perfection rather than escaping. Linguini catches Remy and is confronted by Skinner. As Skinner yells at Linguini, the soup is accidentally served and proves to be a success. Colette Tatou, the staff's only female chef, convinces Skinner to retain Linguini, who is assumed to be the soup's creator. After Skinner catches Remy in the act of escaping, he orders Linguini to kill him, but he cannot do it. Linguini then discovers Remy's intelligence and passion for food, so he keeps him.

Remy discovers that he can control Linguini's movements by pulling his hair.

On Linguini's first day as a chef, he and Remy find a way to communicate; Remy guides Linguini like a marionette by pulling on his hair while hidden under Linguini's toque blanche, Skinner assigns Colette to train his new cook.

Suspicious, Skinner learns that the boy is Gusteau's son and the rightful heir to the restaurant, which threatens his living to use the restaurant's reputation to establish a fast food franchise he started after Gusteau died. Remy discovers the evidence of Linguini's inheritance and, after eluding Skinner, gives it to Linguini, who removes Skinner as owner. The restaurant continues to thrive, and Linguini and Colette develop a budding romance, leaving Remy feeling left out. Meanwhile, Remy reunites with his father, Django, and his brother, Emile, who take him back to their new lair. Though thrilled that his family and clan are safe, he tells him that he cannot stay. In an attempt to free his son from his like of humans, Django shows Remy a window display of dead rats, poison, and traps. Remy refuses to listen and leaves.

France's top restaurant critic Anton Ego, whose previous review cost Gusteau's one of its star ratings (and ultimately the heartbroken chef's life) announces he will be re-reviewing the restaurant the following evening. After an argument with Linguini, Remy leads his clan in a raid on the restaurant's pantries. Linguini catches them and throws them out. Skinner, now aware of Remy's skills, captures him in an attempt of using him to create a new line of frozen foods. However, Remy is freed by Django and Emile. He returns to the restaurant, only to find Linguini is unable to cook without him. Linguini apologizes and reveals the truth to the staff, who all walk out, believing Linguini is insane. Colette later returns after recalling Gusteau's motto, "Anyone can cook."

Django arrives with the rest of the pack, offering to help after seeing his son's determination. Remy directs the rats, while Linguini serves as waiter. For Anton (and Skinner), Remy and Colette create a variation of ratatouille, which brings back an astonished Anton memories of his mother's cooking. During the service, the rats are forced to kidnap and tie up Skinner and a health inspector to prevent them from revealing their involvement in the cooking. When Anton requests to see the chef, Linguini and Colette make him wait until the rest of the diners have left before introducing Remy. Anton is stunned and leaves the restaurant, deep in thought. He writes a glowing review for the newspaper the next day, stating that Gusteau's chef is "nothing less than the finest chef in France."

Despite the positive review, Gusteau's is closed down, since Linguini and Remy had no choice but to release Skinner and the health inspector. Anton loses all credibility as a critic but funds a popular new bistro, "La Ratatouille", created and run by Remy, Linguini, and Colette. The rats settle in their new home in the bistro's roof.

Walter lives with his human brother Gary in Smalltown.The pair are avid fans of The Muppets, having watched The Muppet Show throughout their youth. Now adults, Gary plans a vacation to Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Mary, to celebrate their tenth anniversary, inviting Walter along so he can tour the Muppet Studios. Mary feels that Gary's devotion to Walter is detracting from their relationship.

Arriving in Los Angeles, the three visit the abandoned Muppet Studios. During the tour, Walter sneaks into Kermit the Frog's office and discovers Statler and Waldorfselling the theater to an oil magnate named Tex Richman and his henchmen Bobo the Bear and Uncle Deadly. Waldorf explains that if the Muppets can raise $10 million by the time the original contract expires, they can repurchase the theater. After Statler and Waldorf leave the office, Walter overhears Richman revealing his plans to destroy the Muppet Theater and drill for oil underneath. Walter later warns Gary and Mary about Richman's intentions.

The group find Kermit the Frog informing him that he must organize a telethon to raise the money, which appears initially difficult as the Muppets have gone their separate ways since The Muppet Show ended its run. After Walter convinces him to try, Kermit and the three set off to reunite the group, traveling in a car being driven by '80s Robot. Kermit dissuades Fozzie Bear from continuing to perform in Reno with the Moopets, a group of uncouth Muppet impersonators. Meanwhile, Gonzo has become a plumbing magnate, and despite his initial objection, decides to destroy his business and join them. Animal is recovered from a celebrity anger-management clinic, but is warned by his sponsor Jack Black to avoid drums. The other primary Muppets are located and rejoin through a montage. Later in Paris, the group finds Miss Piggy working as an editor for "plus-sized" fashion at Vogue Paris. Unable to convince Miss Piggy to return, the group replaces her with Moopet counterpart Miss Poogy.

The Muppets pitch their telethon idea to several television networks, but are rejected. Due to the sudden cancellation of Punch Teacher, CDE executive Veronica gives the Muppets a two-hour slot in the network's schedule on the condition that they find a celebrity guest. The Muppets refurbish the theater, but their first rehearsal is unsuccessful and Kermit is unable to contract a celebrity guest. Miss Piggy returns, forces Poogy out, and selects Pepe the King Prawnas her partner after refusing to work with Kermit. Kermit persuades Walter to agree to "find his talent" and perform in the telethon. Meanwhile, Mary goes sightseeing alone.

Declining Kermit's plea to return their studio, Richman reveals that the Muppets will also lose their trademark names, which he plans to entitle to the Moopets. Unsuccessful, Kermit returns home and Miss Piggy enlists the remaining Muppets to kidnap Black as a celebrity guest. Meanwhile, Mary leaves for Smalltown, after Gary forgets to plan his anniversary dinner. Gary realizes that he must improve his relationship with Mary and follows her back home to reconcile, while Walter discovers he was meant to be join the Muppets. Meanwhile, the telethon begins and gradually attracts a large audience, with the Muppets raising donations with support from celebrity callers and Black serving as the unwilling, yet hilarious host. During the show, Richman cuts the theater's power supply, however Gary and Mary, having returned, manage to restore it. Richman then attempts to destroy the theater's television transmitter, but a regretful Uncle Deadly stops Richman. Kermit and Miss Piggy finally conciliate and the Muppets perform "Rainbow Connection" as their final act.

However, the telethon runs short as the $10 million has yet to be collected. Having found his talent, Walter gathers the courage to perform a whistling act, which is unanimously praised by the audience. Richman, refusing to lose, disables the telephone lines and evicts the Muppets from the theater, after the latter fall short of their monetary goal. Kermit gathers the group in the lobby and delivers a speech, suggesting that they will restart their career together as a family. Exiting the theater, the Muppets are greeted by a vast gathering of supporters on Hollywood Boulevard. With Gary's encouragement, Walter greets the crowd and is accepted by the Muppets as a new member. At the end of the film, Gary proposes to Mary, Richman gives the Muppet Theater and rights back to the Muppets after suffering a head injury, and Kermit and Miss Piggy have time in private.

Plot

The USS Enterprise has been sent to the planet Nibiru to study the development of primitive cultures. Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) attempt to save the planet's inhabitants from a volcanic eruption. When Spock's life is endangered Kirk violates the Prime Directive, exposing the Enterprise to the planet's civilization during his rescue.

After being summoned back to Earth Kirk loses command of the Enterprise, and Admiral Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) is reinstated as its commanding officer. When a secret Section 31 installation in London is bombed, Pike, Kirk and Spock meet with Starfleet commanders to discuss the hunt for the bomber—rogue Starfleet agent John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch). The meeting is attacked by a jumpship piloted by Harrison. Kirk destroys it, but Pike is killed. Harrison escapes by transporting to the Klingon homeworld of Kronos. Kirk is reinstated as the Enterprise's captain, and is ordered to find Harrison by Admiral Alexander Marcus (Peter Weller). Marcus supplies the Enterprise with prototype long-range photon torpedoes, ordering Kirk to fire them at Harrison when he is within range. Montgomery Scott (Simon Pegg) resigns in protest when he is forbidden from inspecting the weapons. Pavel Chekov (Anton Yelchin) is promoted to chief engineer and Dr. Carol Wallace (Alice Eve)—a science officer with expertise in the new weapons—joins the crew. Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy (Karl Urban) and Uhura (Zoe Saldana) convince Kirk that it would be better to capture than kill Harrison, so he can be tried.

Arriving on Kronos, Kirk, Spock and Uhura try to capture Harrison but are intercepted by Klingons. Harrison kills the Klingons, surrendering after learning that they were prepared to fire 72 torpedoes. On the Enterprise, Harrison reveals his true identity: Khan, a genetically-engineered superhuman who was awakened by Marcus from a 300-year suspended animation[10] to develop weapons and starships for a war between the Federation and the Klingons. Each torpedo contains a cryogenic pod with one of Khan's crew (previously held hostage by Marcus).

The Enterprise is intercepted by a larger, unmarked Federation warship: the USS Vengeance, designed by Khan and commanded by Marcus. Marcus demands that Kirk deliver Khan; Kirk refuses. The Enterprise heads to Earth for Khan's trial, but is attacked by the Vengeance in warp. With the Enterprise damaged, Kirk offers to exchange Khan and the cryogenic pods for his crew. Carol reveals herself as Carol Marcus, the admiral's daughter, who joined the Enterprise under her mother's maiden name. Marcus transports her to the Vengeance, revealing his intention to destroy the Enterprise in his plan to dispose of the superhumans and start a war with the Klingons. When the Vengeance prepares to open fire, it experiences a power outage caused by Scott (who has infiltrated the ship). With the transporters down, Kirk and Khan travel to the Vengeance by space-jump between the ships' airlocks. After seizing the bridge Khan overpowers Scott and Kirk, crushes Carol's leg and kills Marcus, controlling the Vengeance.

Khan negotiates with Spock, beaming Kirk and his boarding party back to the Enterprise in exchange for the prototype torpedoes (to destroy the Enterprise). Spock hands over the torpedoes after removing Khan's frozen crew and having McCoy arm them. The torpedoes incapacitate the Vengeance; both damaged starships begin falling towards Earth. With a misalignment of the warp-core heads making the Enterprise powerless, Kirk enters the radioactive engine chamber and re-aligns the heads to prevent the ship's destruction; he dies of radiation poisoning.

Khan crashes the Vengeance into San Francisco to destroy Starfleet's headquarters (where Spock transports, to pursue him). McCoy discovers (when experimenting on a tribble) that Khan's blood has regenerative properties which may save Kirk. Spock and Uhura capture Khan, and Kirk is revived.

A year later Kirk addresses a gathering memorializing the events, reciting his "where no-one has gone before" speech. Khan is resealed in his cryogenic pod and stored with his crew, and Carol joins a rebuilt Enterprise as it departs on a five-year mission.

Kick - Ass 2 (2013) CAMRip

Plot

Dave Lizewski has retired from fighting crime, but inspired other ordinary citizens to become super heroes. He asks Mindy Macready to train him so he can become a proper hero. His girlfriend Katie Deauxma notices his odd behavior and frequent absence and thinks he is cheating on her (even though she is cheating on him) and breaks up with him. Mindy is caught crime fighting by her guardian Marcus, and promises to try to live an ordinary life. Not wanting to work alone, Kick-Ass joins a team of heroes called "Justice Forever". The team, led by Colonel Stars and Stripes, includes Dave's friend Marty as Battle Guy, and Night-Bitch. Chris D'Amico, upset at his mother's apathy towards his father's death, accidentally kills her with a tanning bed. Chris uses his inheritance to become a super villain, calling himself "The Motherfucker".

Justice Forever serves the community, at first by helping poor people and patrolling the streets, then taking on the larger task of shutting down an illegal brothel. After patrols, Night-Bitch and Kick-Ass begin a sexual relationship. Dave and Marty try to get Todd involved but Todd gets upset when Dave and Marty mock his costume and name (Ass Kicker).

Mindy tries to lead a normal life, and Marcus arranges for her to go to a slumber party with the popular girls in her class, led by Brooke. Brooke suggests Mindy try out for the dance team at school, but when Mindy wows the audience with her audition Brooke is not pleased. Dave tries to get Mindy back to crime-fighting, prompting her to ask a boy to take her out on a date. When Mindy eventually allows the boy to take her out, it all turns out to be a cruel prank, and Brooke and her friends abandon Mindy in the forest to walk home alone. Mindy goes to Dave for sympathy and he encourages her to beat the mean girls at their own game. The next day Mindy takes on the girls, first with verbal put-downs, then using a crowd control shock baton to induce sickness. Mindy is suspended from school and Marcus is disappointed.

The Motherfucker uses his wealth to assemble a gang of supervillains, and establishes a lair, complete with shark tank. He tracks down Colonel Stars and Stripes and has his gang murder and decapitate him, publishing taunts and threats on Twitter saying that this is only the beginning. He continues his quest to destroy anything Kick-Ass loves, tracking down Night-Bitch and attempting to rape her. When the police are called to the scene, Mother Russia, a massive Russian ex-con, kills several police officers. This results in a police clamp down on all costumed villains and vigilantes, and the police arrest anyone dressed as a superhero. When the police come to Mr. Lizewski's house, he takes responsibility for being Kick-Ass.

Todd joins The Motherfucker's gang. The Motherfucker learns from Dave's friend Todd that the man arrested for being Kick-Ass is Dave's father. He has Mr. Lizewski killed in jail and sends a photograph to Dave. Dave vows to never put on the Kick-Ass costume again. The other members of Justice Forever attend the funeral in sympathy with Dave, but the funeral is ambushed by the Motherfucker's gang and Dave is kidnapped. Mindy pursues the van, killing all its occupants and rescuing Dave. Mindy convinces Dave to become Kick-Ass again and confront the Motherfucker.

They assemble their superhero friends and go to the Motherfucker's lair for a final confrontation. While Kick-Ass fights the Motherfucker, Hit-Girl struggles against Mother Russia. Mother Russia has nearly beaten Hit-Girl. She laughs at the syringe Hit-Girl is holding, believing it to be poison, and instead injects Hit-Girl with it. The "last resort" contains adrenaline, rejuvenating Hit-Girl so she can kill Mother Russia, stabbing her with shards of glass. Todd saves Marty from one of the Motherfucker's gang and the two make up. Fighting on the rooftop, the Motherfucker falls through a skylight, but Kick-Ass grabs his arm. The Motherfucker refuses help and falls, but lands in the shark tank. He survives the fall but is mauled by the shark.

Mindy takes Dave home, and says she is leaving New York, to protect Marcus from police inquiry as she is wanted for murder. She tells him he is now the superhero the city needs and kisses him before departing. Dave accepts the responsibility and begins training and upgrading his equipment.

Post-credits scene

Chris screams from his hospital bed, his legs gone, and barely able to move.

Evidence (2013) Semi-HD

Plot : 

Many women spend hours taking camera-phone headshots of themselves before lucking upon the one they feel is flattering enough for Facebook. "Evidence" features the kind of women who never take a bad selfie. They are gorgeous at any angle, in any lighting. I can be sure of this because the movie's first act consists of forensics specialists reviewing home video of these gals preening, playacting and, in somber moments, emoting like "America's Top Model" contestants during confessional segments. Since the footage comes from cameras found at a grisly desert crime scene, we wait patiently while these cuties go through their trivial antics because we know that something terrible is going to happen to them. Based on horrific evidence presented at the scene of the crime in the beginning, this tragedy could involve a serial killer, a vicious drug cartel, highwaymen, a hippie thrill-kill cult, pyromaniacs, werewolves, a drone strike, vengeful Native American spirits, zombies, Bloods, Crips, sand dragons…

Not that any of these notions are entertained, just that my mind drifted across them while trying to pull through "Evidence"'s combination of chaotic phony found footage and whimpering models. One of the lesser tragic consequences of 9/11 has been a generation of viewers and filmmakers who associate authenticity with barely legible footage of people running, shrieking and crying out to God. Or the notoriously chilling 2008 video of a real Israeli wedding reception where the revelers are dancing joyously one moment, howling in agony the next because the reception hall floor has collapsed. This is the kind of shock horror so many "realistic" films employ. It works only when the actors are not busy "acting." Most of the time you get hyperactive bores like the all-star camcorder thriller "Vantage Point."

Rhada Mitchell, a stunner herself but also a fairly talented actress, plays the lead investigator who must stare gravelly at video monitors and fuss at her colleagues and underlings, which include a mandatory disheveled, heavyset tech geek, a 5-o'clock-shadowed guy who looks like "The Mentalist" star Simon Baker and a button-pusher who looks like Will Smith. The boys in the fake found footage are just as photogenic spokesmodels as the girls.

Early on, the main cute boy serenades the main cute girl, an aspiring actress who looks like Angelina Jolie with a dash of Frieda Pinto, while she's onstage at some event. He eases from the aisle up to the stage, gently strumming his guitar as a beam of spotlight backlights him perfectly and the women in the theater audience swoon. He gets down on one knee for the proposal but she awkwardly says "No." He slumps away like a little boy lost. What tells us that this postcard-glossy moment is "real" is the fact that the other cutie-actress playing her best friend is holding the camera with trembling hands. It's the only truly horrifying scene in the movie.
