Minyak Dagu mengisahkan tentang Azman yang berdendam dengan bekas tunangnya Emelda, disebabkan terlalu dendam dan mengikut desakan daripada kawannya, Azman telah berjumpa bomoh, Wak Minarjo seorang pawang hebat minyak dagu. Emelda yang memutuskan pertunangan dengan Azman demi mengikut cakap kedua-dua orang tuanya bahawa Johan adalah seorang calon suami yang baik dan boleh menjamin masa depan Emelda, nak dibandingkan Azman yang hanya seorang jurujual yang sering tak ada untungnya.

Liza, ibu kepada Azman begitu kecewa dengan sikap Emelda kerana melukakan hati anaknya. Setelah bertemu dengan Wak Minarjo, Azman betul-betul nekad untuk membeli minyak dagu, dan dia haruslah megikut pantang-larang yang diberitahu Wak Minarjo, Minyak dagu tersebut haruslah dicalitkan pada siku Emelda dan botol minyak dagu tersebut hendaklah di tanam berdekatan dengan pokok pisang. Sekiranya botol tersebut pecah disambar petir, maka segala kuasa sihir hilang.

Menunggu hari bahagia Emelda dan Johan dinikahkan. Emelda nekad ingin menjemput bekas tunangnya itu. Azman mula mengambil kesempatan tersebut untuk mencalitkan minyak dagu pada siku Emelda. Di hari pernikahan Emelda dan Johan, Emelda tiba-tiba histeria. Azman puas kerana dendamnya terbalas. Semenjak dari itu, keadaan Emelda berubah. Johan bertindak membawa bomoh untuk mengubati histeria Emelda yang semakin parah. Hal ini menyebabkan Ainon, mak Emelda cenderung menuduh Johanlah yang menjadi punca sakit Emelda.

Akhirnya selepas bertengkar, Ainon diserang sakit jantung dan meninggal dunia. Azman merasa bersalah lalu melawat jenazah Ainon. Pantang larang terbesar Azman ialah tidak boleh melawat orang mati. Segala-galanya berubah..
