Cara Unik Hentikan Ketagihan Game Pada Anak

Semua orang tua tentu sangat prihatin jika anaknya menghabiskan masa seharian dengan bermain game. Untuk menghentikannya, orang tua biasanya meminta anak berhenti bermain game, atau dengan cara menyekat peralatan game.

Tapi, yang dilakukan seorang ayah di China berbeza. Feng, begitu nama si ayah ini, punya cara unik untuk menghentikan ketagihan game pada anaknya yang berusia 23 tahun dan diketahui menganggur.

Menurut blog tempatan, Kotako East, seperti dilansir BBC, 8 Januari 2013, Feng terpaksa menyewa 'pembunuh' virtual untuk memburu anaknya di video game online dan membunuh avatarnya. Dengan cara ini Feng berharap anaknya dapat berhenti untuk selalu bermain game.

Setelah menyewa si pembunuh virtual tersebut, anaknya diketahui mengeluh kepada sang ayah dan bertanya mengapa salah satu daripada pemain game terus menyasarkan dirinya.

Strategi si ayah Feng ini ramai diberitakan media massa, memantik polemik dan komentar dari pakar ketagihan game. "Hal itu tidak akan berbuat banyak untuk hubungan keluarga," kata Prof Mark Griffiths, seorang pakar dari Nottingham Trent University kepada BBC.

"Saya belum pernah mendengar campur tangan seperti ini sebelum ini, tapi saya tidak berfikir pendekatan ini boleh bekerja. Permainan game yang sangat berlebihaan biasanya merupakan gejala dari masalah yang melatarbelakanginya," Griffiths menambah.

Dia telah mendengar banyak orang tua yang bimbang tentang kebiasaan bermain game pada anak-anak mereka. Tetapi seringkali hal itu bukan merupakan ketagihan. "Saya telah menghabiskan masa 25 tahun mempelajari mereka yang bermain video game yang berlebihan itu," katanya.

"Saya sudah menemui beberapa pemain yang sangat berlebihan, yang bermain selama 10 hingga 14 jam sehari. Tapi hal ini tidak masalah, jika mereka tidak bekerja, tidak berkahwin dan tidak mempunyai anak," ujarnya.

Feng dan anaknya dilaporkan telah didamaikan. Olivia Grace, ahli World of Warcraft (permainan game multiplayer) berfikir tindakan Feng justeru akan menjadi penghalang hubungan dengan anakanya.
