The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Posted on 00:15 by smith
Plot
Elite street racer and ex-convict Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew: Jesse (Chad Lindberg), Leon (Johnny Strong), Vincent (Matt Schulze), and Dominic's girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), use modified 1992-95' Honda Civics to perpetrate a string of high-speed, semi-truck hijackings, stealing over $6 million in merchandise. Los Angeles Police Department officer Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is sent undercover on a joint investigation with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation to apprehend the gang. Brian uses his cover job at The Racer's Edge, an aftermarket parts shop, to make connections and infiltrate the local street racing scene. He enters his modified 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS into an illegal race with Dominic and two other drivers by bartering the pink slips, but loses and damages his vehicle in the process. Brian gains Dominic's respect and arrives in time to prevent Dominic from being caught by police responding to the race. As they flee, Dominic and Brian accidentally venture into southern California's "Little Saigon", encountering Dominic's rival, Johnny Tran (Rick Yune) and his gang, who open fire with submachine guns; rupturing the nitrous oxide tank and destroying the Eclipse in the resulting explosion.
The next day, Brian delivers a totaled 1995 Toyota Supra to Dominic's shop and offers his talents as a driver to repay the debt incurred from losing the race. Brian begins dating Dominic's sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Jesse goes to work restoring the Supra. The investigation eventually leads Brian to suspect Tran and his gang of performing the hijackings and he reports the findings to his superior, Sergeant Tanner (Ted Levine) and F.B.I. Special Agent Bilkins (Thom Barry). However, the subsequent raid of Tran's garage prove him to be innocent and Bilkins and Tanner return to their original theory that Dominic and his crew are the perpetrators. Tanner warns Brian not to let his feelings for Mia or his friendship with Dominic cloud his judgment, and Bilkin's gives Brian thirty-six hours to break the case.
With the Supra now fully prepped to race, Brian presses Dominic for information regarding his income, citing the shop alone wouldn't pay for all his racing expenditures. Dominic gives Brian an invitation to "Race Wars", a massive street racing event held in the desert, and informs him they'll talk once Brian has proven his worth on the strip. Jesse races and loses his imprisoned father's modified 1995 Volkswagen Jetta to Tran's modified 2000 Honda S2000. Jesse panics and hastily flees the track, prompting Tran to confront Dominic and demand that he retrieve the car for him. Dominic refuses and is provoked into a fight in which he brutally beats Tran. Early the next morning, Dominic and his crew leave Race Wars to commit another hijacking.
Brian confesses to Mia his status as an undercover cop and convinces her to come with him to save her brother and his friends from the armed truck drivers. He tracks Dominic's location by triangulating his cell phone signal and they arrive at the hijacking in-progress to find Vince critically wounded, having been shot by the truck driver. Brian and Mia work together with Dominic, Leon and Letty to rescue Vince. Brian then makes the difficult decision to blow his cover to the crew by phoning in for a medivac. The revelation enrages Dominic, but he contains himself and flees with Leon, Letty and Mia as the medivac arrives for Vince.
Brian follows Dominic to his house and holds him at gunpoint to prevent him from fleeing. Jesse arrives shortly afterwards, apologizing for his actions at Race Wars and pleading for Dominic's help with Tran. Moments later, Tran and his cousin Lance (Reggie Lee) perform a drive-by shooting and murder Jesse. Brian and Dominic chase them, with Dominic driving his late father's modified 1970 Dodge Charger. Dominic forces Lance's motorcycle off the road, severely injuring him, while Brian shoots and kills Tran. Afterwards, Brian and Dominic engage in an impromptu street race, narrowly avoiding a passing train. Dominic is then badly injured when he sideswipes the nose of a semi-truck; rendering the Charger unable to drive. Instead of arresting him, Brian hands over the keys to the Supra and lets Dominic escape, making good on his promise to deliver a "ten second car." Hearing the police sirens in the distance, Brian walks away from the scene as he is now a wanted fugitive. Some time later, Dominic is seen driving through Baja, Mexico in a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)
Posted on 00:13 by smith
Plot :
17-year old Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) is a social outcast from Alabama in his high school in Arizona with a passion for vehicles. His parents got divorced when he was young, and he has a police record due to reckless driving with two offenses. To avoid arrest after an offense, he and his mother move frequently.
One afternoon after school, a local rich boy named Clay gets into a fight with Sean about their cars and then they go for a race with Clay's girlfriend Cindy offering herself as the prize. During the race Clay crashes into an obstacle in the track and at last Sean by turning the car at a fast speed causing his car to flip and stands upside down. Because Clay and Cindy are from rich families, they get away with cautions but for his numerous brushes with the law in the past and tired of moving away all the time, Sean's mother sends him to Tokyo, to live with his dad, who is stationed there as a Navy officer. Upon arriving at his dad's home, he is warned by his dad not to stir up any trouble, and to not go anywhere near a car or he'll get deported back to the United States to go serve prison time..
At his new school, Sean meets Twinkie (Bow Wow), an extremely business-minded fellow American immigrant, who sells pre-owned goods around the school, and he drives a custom-designed, but odd Hulk-themed 2004 Volkswagen Touran van. Twinkie introduces Sean to the drift racing scene in Tokyo at the parking lot reserved for street racers and audience. On the lot, Sean has a verbal confrontation with Takashi (Brian Tee) – also known as "Drift King" or DK, because he was talking to DK's girlfriend, Neela (Nathalie Kelley), whom Sean met earlier in school.
After the confrontation, DK challenges Sean to a race, and Han Seoul-Oh[3] (Sung Kang), DK's business partner, lends him his Nissan Silvia S-15. Due to Sean's lack of knowledge on how to drift, DK easily beats him in a Nissan 350Z, with Sean wrecking the Silvia. Han warns him not to leave town. Sean is also confronted by his father, and Sean agrees again to stay away from racing. The next day, Han meets Sean after school with his custom-build Veilside 1997 Mazda RX-7 and tells him that he must work for him to repay for the damage to his vehicle.
Han becomes Sean's friend and teaches him to drift, giving him a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX (with the WRC tuning) to represent Han in future races. Han explains to him that he is helping him because Sean is the only one who is unafraid of DK (calling him DK's "kryptonite"), and has a potential. Sean leaves his dad's house and bunks with Han, and learns that Han arrived in Tokyo, as by Han's words, this is "his Mexico". Sean soon masters drifting and gains some reputation after defeating DK's right-hand man, Morimoto. Sean soon asks Neela out on a date, and learns she is an outsider because, when her mom arrived in Tokyo, she worked as a barmaid. After she died, DK's grandparents took Neela in, and she hooked up with DK. DK beats up Sean the next day, telling him to stay away from Neela, or "the only thing he will be riding is a wheelchair". Angry after seeing Sean's bruises, Neela leaves DK, moving into Han's garage.
One evening, DK's uncle Kamata (Sonny Chiba), a high-ranking member of the local yakuza, visits him and informs DK that the business is not meeting expectations, and DK realizes that Han has been nabbing some of his merchandise and resell them. Later that night, DK and Morimoto arrive at Han's garage and confront Han, Sean, and Neela about the goods, and DK pulls out his gun and threatens to shoot at Han. Twinkie causes a distraction with closing the garage doors, and Han, Sean and Neela use the moment to escape from the garage, with Morimoto and DK in close pursuit.
The pursuit continues throughout Tokyo, with Han in the lead, Sean and Neela behind him, and Morimoto and DK chasing them. Morimoto closes up and tries to T-bone Sean over the road, but he misses, avoiding traffic and collides with an oncoming driver, killing him instantly. DK continues along, and he manages to catch up with Sean, ramming him over the road. Han slams the brakes, turning the tables, with Sean heading on the front. Sean tries to help Han, but he finds himself in front of the large Shibuya square, honking to move the crowd, making a line to drift around the next corner. DK uses the moment and pulls a 180 spin, shooting at Han's windshield. Sean, noticing this, doesn't look at the traffic, and another driver rear-ends him. Meanwhile, Han pushes DK out of the road, and an oncoming car collides with him, flipping him over several times. Sean tries to help him, but Han's RX7 explodes, killing Han.
Horrified by this event, Sean and Neela retreat and get back to where Sean's dad house, but DK shows up and attacks Sean. Sean gets the upper hand, but DK pulls a gun on him. Sean's father shows up on the scene and points his gun at DK. Neela, to avoid a fight, agrees to go with DK. DK mocks Sean saying 'See you when Daddy's not around'. Sean's father demands that Sean return to the United States, but Sean insists on staying to make things right, which he accepts for "at least not making up his mistakes". With help from Twinkie, Sean goes to the Yakuza neighborhood and returns Kamata's stolen money, which Han left for Sean. Sean then proposes a race against DK to determine who will leave Tokyo. Kamata agrees to the challenge, but it will take place on DK's mountain, because he has been the only one to make it down all the way.
The next day, Sean and Han's friends check Han's garage, but find that the police confiscated all of their cars (DK's mischief), except for the Silvia Sean crashed. Sean takes the 1967 Ford Mustang GT which his dad found, and remodels it with the help of Twinkie and the rest of the crew, using the engine of Han's Silvia. The group restores the Mustang to the original shape.
On the mountain, Han's crew and DK's crew show up, gathering signal through local video calls to watch the race. Kamata shows up with Neela. One of Kamata's men gives the signal to start the race. Although DK takes the lead, Sean passes him a couple of times, to which DK responds by ramming him multiple times, trying to push him off the road. As the race progresses, DK almost totals his car trying to stop Sean from winning, but Sean gains the lead at the end of the race, managing to turn just before finish line as DK tries to ram him, sending DK off the cliff. As DK's crew pulls him from the totaled car, Sean crosses the finish line. Neela reunites with Sean, and Kamata lets them both go.
Months later, Sean is now the Drift King. One night, Twinkie informs Sean that he has a challenger to a race who has become well known around Asia. Sean accepts when Twinkie says the challenger knew Han, and that he was family to him. The challenger turns out to be none other than Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), who is driving "the Hammer", an old custom-built silver 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. Sean, driving a Nissan Silvia like Han's - already knowing Dominic's reputation - tells him that this won't be a ten second race. Dominic responds with a smile and says that he has nothing but time. The film ends as both cars race off towards the first straight.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
Posted on 22:18 by smith
Plot
After allowing fugitive Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to evade arrest (in The Fast and the Furious), former Los Angeles Police Department officer Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) finds himself on the run from the L.A.P.D. and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and leaves Los Angeles, California to start a new life. He travels across the U.S., racing against the locals using a silver Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and the driving skills he learned as a member of Toretto's now disbanded crew, earning money for the trip. After traveling for few days, he arrives in Miami, Florida. There, he makes new friends with Tej Parker (Ludacris), an ex-street racer and organizer who leads a top racing garage and is the man-to-know in Miami, and Jimmy (Jin Auyeung), a well-known car tuner who works with Tej, as well as Suki (Devon Aoki), also a street racer, and now lives in a small cot near his garage. Brian has now modified his Skyline to top grade. He has also added details and under glow lights to give it a stunning look. He takes his Skyline to the streets of Miami, and after a while he is given the credit of being the best racer there is.
One night after winning a race, he is caught by U.S. Customs Service agents after his car is disabled by the grappling hook-like ESD (Electronic Disruption Device) deployed by U.S. Customs Service agent Markham (James Remar). He is arrested and his former boss, F.B.I. agent Bilkins (Thom Barry), who is helping with the case, makes a deal with him. He says that if he takes part in a joint F.B.I.-Customs Service mission to bring down Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) a ruthless Argentine drug lord, his criminal record will be wiped clean. O'Conner accepts on condition that he can choose a co-driver.
Brian and Bilkins then travel to Barstow, California, where he persuades his childhood juvenile friend and ex-convict Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) to help him, in return for his record being cleaned and his house arrest to be depleted. Their mission involves working undercover as street racers for Verone, with help from Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes), an undercover U.S. Customs Service agent who has become O'Connor's love interest. Pearce and O'Connor win an "audition" race and are selected for Verone's job, a money laundering run.
Once O'Connor and Pearce embark on the mission with Verone's money in their cars' trunks, and two of Verone's henchmen riding along, police are called in. O'Connor and Pearce lead the police to a warehouse complex, which the police surround. Tej, Jimmy and Suki, and many other street racers, create a diversion that allows O'Connor and Pearce to sneak away in different cars and continue their mission. Verone tries to escape aboard his yacht with Monica, informing her that he knew she was an undercover U.S. Customs Service agent. O'Connor and Pearce get rid of Verone's henchmen, rescue Monica and stop the yacht. Verone is arrested and the duffle bags carrying his drug money are recovered, save for an undisclosed amount having been taken by O'Connor and Pearce.

Plot
When Dominic "Dom" Toretto is being transported to Lompoc prison by bus, his sister Mia Toretto and friend Brian O'Conner lead an assault on the bus, causing it to crash and freeing Dom. While the authorities search for them, the trio escape to Rio de Janeiro. Awaiting Dom's arrival, Mia and Brian join their friend Vince and other participants on a job to steal three cars from a train. Brian and Mia discover that agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are also on the train and that the cars are seized property. When Dom arrives with the rest of the participants, he realizes that one of them, Zizi, is only interested in stealing one car, a Ford GT40. Dom has Mia steal the car herself before he and Brian fight Zizi and his henchmen, during which Zizi kills the DEA agents assigned to the vehicles. Dom and Brian are captured and brought to crime lord Hernan Reyes, the owner of the cars and Zizi's boss. Reyes orders the pair be interrogated to discover the location of the car, but they manage to escape and retreat to their safehouse.
While Brian, Dom, and Mia examine the car to discover its importance, Vince arrives and is caught trying to remove a computer chip from it. He admits he was planning to sell the chip to Reyes on his own, and Dom forces him to leave. Brian investigates the chip and discovers it contains details of Reyes' criminal empire, including the locations of US$100 million in cash.
Following the murder of the DEA agents aboard the train, blamed on Dom and his team, DSS agent Luke Hobbs and his team arrive in Rio to arrest Dom and Brian. With the help of local officer Elena Neves, they travel to Dom's safehouse, but find it under assault by Reyes' men. Brian, Dom and Mia escape, and Dom suggests they split up and leave Rio, but Mia announces she is pregnant with Brian's child. Dom agrees to stick together and suggests they steal Reyes' money to start a new life. The trio organizes a team to perform the heist, recruiting Han Seoul-Oh, Roman Pearce, Tej Parker, Gisele Yashar, Leo and Santos. Vince later joins the team after saving Mia from being captured by Reyes' men, earning Dom's trust once more.
Hobbs and his team eventually find and arrest Dom, Mia, Brian and Vince. While transporting them to the airport for extradition to the United States, the convoy is attacked by Reyes' men, who kill Hobbs' team. Hobbs and Elena are saved by Dom, Brian, Mia and Vince as they fight back against Reyes' men and escape, but Vince is shot in the process and dies. Wanting to avenge his murdered team, Hobbs and Elena agree to help with the heist. The gang breaks into the police station where Reyes' money is kept and tear the vault from the building using their cars, dragging it through the city with police in pursuit. Believing they cannot outrun the police, Dom makes Brian continue without him while he attacks the police and the pursuing Reyes, using the vault attached to his car to smash their vehicles. Brian returns and kills Zizi, while Reyes is badly injured by Dom's assault. Hobbs arrives on the scene and kills Reyes. Hobbs refuses to let Dom and Brian go free but, unwilling to arrest them, agrees to give them a 24-hour head start to escape. The gang splits Reyes' money, leaving Vince's share to his family, before the members go their separate ways.
On a tropical beach, Brian and a visibly pregnant Mia relax. They are met by Dom and Elena. Brian challenges Dom to a final, no-stakes race to prove who is the better driver.
In a post-credits scene, Hobbs is given a file by Monica Fuentes concerning the hijack of a military convoy in Berlin. In the file, Hobbs discovers a recent photo of Dom's former girlfriend Letty Ortiz, who had been presumed dead.

Plot :
Five years after the events of The Fast and the Furious, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his new crew, Leticia "Letty" Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Tego "Teddy" (Tego Calderón), Omar Santos (Don Omar), Cara Mirtha (Mirtha Michelle) and Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang), are hijacking fuel tankers in the Dominican Republic. Dominic begins to suspect the trail is too hot and leaves Leticia behind in order to protect her from harm. Several weeks later, in Panama City, Dominic gets a call from his sister, Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), who tells him that Leticia has been murdered by Fenix Calderon (Laz Alonzo), after getting into a near fatal car accident. Dominic heads back to Los Angeles to examine Leticia's crash and finds traces of nitromethane. He then goes to the only car mechanic that uses nitromethane and coerces him into giving him the name David Park (Ron Yuan), the man who ordered the fuel.
Meanwhile, U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is trying to track down a drug dealer named Arturo Braga (John Ortiz). His search leads him to David Park. Dominic arrives at Park's apartment first and hangs him out of the window by his ankles before letting go. Brian, who was also on his way to Park's place, saves Park and Park becomes the F.B.I.'s new informant. Park gets Brian into a street racethrough Los Angeles. Brian selects a modified Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from the Impound Lot. Dominic also shows up to race in his modified 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. Gisele Yashar (Gal Gadot), the liaison for Braga, reveals that the winner will become the last driver on a team that traffics heroinbetween the Mexico–United States border. Dominic wins by bumping Brian's car, making him lose control. Brian uses his power as an F.B.I. agent to arrest another driver, Dwight Mueller (Greg Cipes), and takes his place on the team.
The following day, the team meets one of Braga's men. They drive across the border using underground tunnels to avoid detection. Brian had prior knowledge that, after the heroin was delivered, Braga ordered the drivers to be killed. However it was revealed to Dominic from Fenix that he killed Leticia and after a tense stand-off, Dominic detonates his car with nitrous to distract Braga's men and Brian hijacks a Hummer with $60 million worth of heroin. Both Dominic and Brian drive back to Los Angeles and hide the heroin in a police impound lot where Brian picks up a modifiedSubaru Impreza WRX STI. Later on, Dominic finds out Brian was the last person to contact Leticia, which results in him being attacked by Dominic before he could explain to him until he learns Leticia was working undercover for Brian, tracking down Braga in exchange for clearing Dominic's name. Brian tells his superiors that in exchange for Dominic's pardon, he will lure Braga into a trap, forcing him to personally show up to exchange money for the heroin. At the drop site, however, Ramon Campos (Robert Miano), the man who claims to be "Braga", is revealed as a decoy, and "Campos", the real Braga, escapes and flees to Mexico.
Brian and Dominic travel to Mexico on their own to catch Braga. They find him at a church and apprehend him. As Braga's henchmen try to rescue Braga, Brian and Dominic drive through the underground tunnels back to the United States. Brian crashes his car after taking fire from Braga's men. He is then injured after being T-boned by Fenix at the end of the tunnel. Before Fenix can kill Brian, Dominic drives into and kills Fenix. As police and helicopters start approaching the crash site on the American side of the border, Brian tells Dominic to leave, but Dominic refuses saying that he is tired of running. Despite Brian's request for clemency, the judge sentences Dominic to 25 years to life while Brian resigns from the F.B.I. Dominic boards a prison bus that will transport him to Lompoc penitentiary. As the bus drives down the road, Brian, Mia, Leo, and Santos arrive in their cars to intercept it, leading to the events of Fast Five.

The Grandmaster (2013)
Posted on 10:51 by smith
Plot
The film chronicles the life of the Wing Chun grandmaster Ip Man from the 1930s in Foshan, his flight to Hong Kong after the Second Sino-Japanese War, and the events leading to his death.
The movie begins with Ip Man reflecting on martial arts, and then cuts to a scene of a fight under the rain between Ip and a dozen combatants. Ip Man wins, and experiences flashbacks of his life, from his early training at the age of seven to his induction into martial arts by his master Chan Wah-shun, and his marriage to his wife Cheung Wing-sing.
Ip Man's peaceful existence is threatened by the arrival of Gong Yutian, a martial arts master from northern China, who announces that he has already retired and has appointed Ma San as his heir in the North. He then concedes that the South should have its own heir. A flurry of discussions and fights erupt as various masters attempt to challenge Gong, but they are all barred by Ma San. As the Southern masters are deliberating on a representative, Gong Yutian's daughter Gong Er arrives and she tries to convince her father not to continue the fight. Meanwhile, the Southern masters decide on Ip Man to represent them, and Ip proceeds to be tested by three Southern masters before he challenges Gong Yutian. However, the "fight" between Ip and Gong turns out to be actually an exchange of philosophical ideas. Gong declares Ip the winner and returns to northern China. However, Gong Er sets out to regain her family's honour by challenging Ip Man, and they agree that whoever breaks a piece of furniture during the fight will be the loser. An intense fight breaks out between Ip Man and Gong Er, which concludes with victory for Gong because Ip broke a step at the very end. Ip and Gong then part on friendly terms.
Ip Man and Gong Er keep in contact after parting ways by exchanging letters, and Ip intends to bring his family with him to northern China, but his plans are disrupted by the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War. During the war, Ip Man and his family descend into poverty and he loses his two daughters due to starvation. In the meantime, in northern China, Ma San becomes a hanjian and ends up killing Gong Yutian. When Gong Er returns, she confronts her elders for forsaking her father but they tell her that her father's final wish was for her to be happy and not to seek vengeance. Gong Er refuses to accept that, and she vows to never teach, marry or have children her entire life in order to choose the path of vengeance.
Ip Man moves to Hong Kong in the hope of starting a career as a martial arts teacher, but ends up facing all sorts of challenges because there were also numerous other martial arts masters. He defeats them soundly and earns a reputation. He meets Gong Er again on Chinese New Year's Eve 1950 and asks her for a contest one more time while implying that she should start rebuilding her martial art school. But Gong Er refuses, stating that many martial arts disappeared in the course of history; hers should not be the only one. A flashback after that shows a confrontation between Gong Er and Ma San at a train station on Chinese New Year's Eve 1940, and Gong defeats Ma after a brutal and intense fight. However, Gong herself is heavily injured and loses her ability to use martial art.
The film then fast-forwards to the 1952, when Ip Man and Gong Er meet each other for the last time. Gong confesses to Ip that she has had romantic feelings for him right from the beginning. She dies shortly after. The cause of death was never clearly stated but it was implied that in the fight with Ma San not only her martial art was lost, but her life was shortened, too. The final scenes offer a visual montage as Ip Man's school flourishes. Off screen, it is stated that Ip Man died in 1972.

Dorian Gray (2009)
Posted on 01:08 by smith
Plot
When a naïve young Dorian Gray arrives in a train to Victorian London, to inherit an estate left to him by his abusive Grandfather, he is swept into a social whirlwind by the charismatic Lord Henry Wotton, who introduces Gray to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. Lord Henry's friend, society artist Basil Hallward, paints a portrait of Gray to capture the full power of his youthful beauty. When the portrait is unveiled, Gray makes a flippant pledge: he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture—even his soul.
Gray meets and falls in love with young budding actress Sibyl Vane. After a few weeks, he proposes marriage to her, but after Lord Henry tells Gray that having children is "the beginning of the end", he takes Gray to a brothel. This breaks Sibyl's heart as Gray leaves her, and she drowns herself soon after. Gray learns of this next day from her brother James ("Jim"), who tells Gray that Sybil was pregnant. Jim then tries to kill Gray before being restrained and carried off by the authorities. Gray's initial grief disappears as Lord Henry persuades him that all events are mere experiences and without consequence, and his hedonistic lifestyle worsens, distancing him from a concerned Hallward.
Gray goes home to find the portrait of himself warped and twisted and realises that his pledge has come true; while the portrait ages, its owner's sins are shown as physical defects on the canvas. The chaos of the portrait of Gray starts, leading him to brutally kill Hallward after telling him his secret, dumping the body in the River Thames.
Having left London to travel for many years, Gray returns to London and during the welcome-back party the guests are surprised to see that he has not aged at all. He becomes close to Lord Henry's daughter, Emily, a member of the UK suffragette movement, despite Lord Henry's distaste for such a relationship due to Gray's lifestyle and unnatural appearance, Emily having provided Lord Henry with a greater moral focus.
Although Gray appears genuinely interested in changing his ways as he spends time with Emily, matters are complicated when he is confronted by Jim, still seeking revenge for his sister's death. Despite Gray's attempts to pretend to be someone else by pointing out his apparent age, Jim nevertheless deduces Gray's true identity, only to be killed by a train while pursuing Gray in the London Underground. As Gray makes arrangements to leave London with Emily, Lord Henry's study of old photographs makes him remember the time when he teased Gray to deal with the devil for eternal youth and beauty at the cost of his soul.
Breaking into Gray's house as Gray and Emily are making plans to leave together, Lord Henry discovers the concealed portrait, but is interrupted by Gray before he can uncover it. Although Gray attempts to convince Lord Henry that he still cherishes his friendship and genuinely loves his daughter, Lord Henry discovers a stained scarf of Basil's in a box, prompting Gray to angrily declare that he is what Lord Henry has made him, the personification of the life he preached but never dared practise. Full of anger and grief, Gray attempts to strangle Lord Henry, but is distracted by Emily's call long enough for Lord Henry to knock him aside and expose the portrait.
Disgusted and horrified at the twisted sight on the canvas, Lord Henry throws a lit lamp at the portrait, causing it to catch fire, subsequently locking the gate of the attic, to ensure Gray and the painting are destroyed, before his daughter sees the ruckus as she pleads with Gray for the key. Gray, after seeing her and realising that he really loves her, turns his back as Lord Henry drags his daughter out of the house, his last words being to assure Emily that she has his whole heart. Resolving to end it all, Gray stabs the painting with a poker, causing his body to age the years that it has never suffered, Gray charging at the portrait to fully impale it as his years catch up to him before the attic is consumed by an explosion.
A few months later, scarred from the explosion and after attempting to reconcile with Emily through Agatha over the phone, Lord Henry heads to his attic where he keeps the now-youthful portrait of Gray, grimly noting that nobody will look at it now. As Lord Henry leaves, the portrait's eyes glow, suggesting that Gray's soul may still be within the portrait even after his death.

Tower Heist (2011)
Posted on 21:47 by smith
Plot
Josh Kovaks (Ben Stiller) is the building manager of The Tower, a high-rise luxury apartment complex on Central Park West in New York City whose employees include concierge Charlie (Casey Affleck), who is expecting a child with Josh's sister; Enrique (Michael Peña), a newly hired elevator operator; Lester (Stephen Henderson), the doorman nearing retirement; Odessa (Gabourey Sidibe), a Jamaican maid on a work visa; and receptionist Miss Iovenko (Nina Arianda), who furtively studies for her bar exam at work.
One morning Josh sees what appears to be a kidnapping of Tower tenant and wealthy businessman Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda). Josh gives chase and almost catches him when he is clotheslined by FBI agent Claire Denham (Téa Leoni). Denham explains that Shaw wasn't being kidnapped, he was attempting to flee arrest, accused of running a Ponzi scheme. Josh tells the Tower staff about Shaw's arrest and explains that he gave Shaw their pension fund to invest, and their money is gone. After learning that Lester attempted suicide by walking in front of a moving train after losing everything he had, Josh, Charlie and Enrique visit Shaw, under house arrest in his penthouse apartment, to tell him this. Shaw expresses condolences but appears insincere, and Josh responds by destroying the windows of a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Shaw has on display in his apartment. The building's General Manager (Judd Hirsch) is furious at Josh's actions and fires Josh, Charlie and Enrique.
Josh meets Denham at a bar and she invites him to get drunk. As they drink she says Shaw must have had a cash safety net and suggests in jest that he find and steal it. Josh gathers Charlie, Enrique and former Tower tenant Mr. Fitzhugh (Matthew Broderick) to draw up a plan to steal Shaw's money. When Charlie brings up the obvious drawback that they are not thieves, Josh enlists his neighbor and childhood playmate, a petty criminal named Slide (Eddie Murphy), to help. Slide trains the team but realizes he cannot do the robbery because he doesn't know how to crack the safe in Shaw's apartment. They bring in Odessa, whose family ran a locksmith business. Later on, Charlie tells Josh he's been rehired as the Tower's new manager, and warns Josh to stay away or he will have him arrested. Denham then tells Josh that a hearing for Shaw has been scheduled for Thanksgiving during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to avoid publicity, and Shaw will go free. Josh and his team decide to break into Shaw's apartment during the parade.
The team reaches Shaw's apartment, breaks down a false wall and finds Shaw's safe behind it; Odessa opens the safe but finds it empty. Slide and Fitzhugh struggle for Slide's gun; the gun goes off and a bullet hits the car, revealing gold underneath the Ferrari's paint. They realize Shaw invested his cash in gold, had the gold melted down and cast into car parts, and then assembled the car in his apartment where the gold would be hidden in plain sight. Josh finds a ledger of Shaw's illegal finances in the car's glove box. They lower the car out the window into Fitzhugh's old apartment six floors below, and then take it down to the lobby on top of an elevator. Just as they reach the lobby Agent Denham and Shaw return, the Thanksgiving court date being another set up, and take the same elevator back up. Denham sees Shaw's safe and informs him that he did not declare the safe on an inventory of items taken when he was arrested, which is a violation of the conditions of his bail. She has him remanded back into custody.
Denham sees Lester using a stolen truck to try to escape from the building. She catches up to him, assuming he is fleeing with the Ferrari, but finds the truck empty. The FBI arrests him and Josh's other accomplices. She personally handcuffs Josh and privately congratulates him. As Josh is being questioned by the FBI, Miss Iovenko arrives, telling the FBI that she passed her bar exam three days ago and is acting as Josh's attorney. She shows them Shaw's ledger and tells them she will turn it over in exchange for everyone's freedom. The FBI accepts on the condition that Josh, being the primary conspirator, must serve a minimal two-year sentence.
The team retrieves the car from its hiding place in Shaw's rooftop pool and send various parts of the car to Tower employees to compensate for their lost pensions. As the movie ends Shaw begins his life sentence and Josh is booked into jail, a satisfied smile slowly forming on his face.

The Hangover Part III (2013)
Posted on 17:52 by smith
In California, Alan (Zach Galifianakis) causes a major traffic accident after accidentally decapitating his pet giraffe under a low bridge. Soon afterwards, Alan's father (Jeffrey Tambor), furious with him for never owning up to his mistakes and believing that he could get away with anything, has a heart attack and dies. Following the funeral, Doug (Justin Bartha) convinces Stu (Ed Helms) and Phil (Bradley Cooper) to attend an intervention in response to the fact that Alan is off his ADHD medication and is out of control. Alan agrees to visit a rehabilitation clinic in Arizona after Doug promised that the Wolfpack would go with him.
While en route to the facility, gangster Marshall (John Goodman) and Black Doug (Mike Epps), his head of security, run Phil's minivan off the highway and kidnap the group. Marshall informs them that, during a $42 million gold heist, Chow stole half of the loot and has escaped from prison. Marshall take Doug as a hostage and demands that the rest of the Wolfpack find Chow and get the stolen gold back.
Chow communicates with Alan, setting up a meeting location in Tijuana for just the two of them. Stu and Phil arrive in secret, planning to drug Chow with Demerol, but Alan gives away their location. After lying to Chow, the group visit a karaoke bar, where Stu attempts to drug Chow's drink. Smelling the Demerol, he forces the group to confess that they are working for Marshall. Chow later agrees to retrieve the stolen gold from his former house, a Mexican villa that was foreclosed upon after he was arrested, and reveals that the first half had already been spent in Bangkok. After elaborately entering the house, which included drugging the two guard dogs and disabling the security system, and retrieving the gold, Chow double-crosses them by locking the group in the basement, tripping the house alarm and escaping in Phil's minivan. The three are arrested, and are soon after released after the charges were mysteriously dropped. They are forced into a limo waiting outside the police station, which takes them back to the villa they had broken into. It is revealed that the villa is actually Marshall's, Chow had never lived there, and the gold they helped him steal was the half Marshall had saved. Infuriated by the proceedings, Marshall kills Black Doug and demands that the three track down Chow again, leaving them the limo to drive.
After Phil realizes that he left his cell phone in the minivan, he uses an app on Alan's phone to locate the phone and, as a result, Chow. Phil and Stu grimace to learn that Chow fled to Las Vegas. After finding the minivan abandoned outside a small pawn shop, the three speak to its owner, Cassie (Melissa McCarthy), who tells them that Chow traded a gold brick for much less than it was worth to finance a stream of hookers and drugs and gives them the business card of the escort service she gave to Chow. After the service refuses to give Stu any information, they get in touch with Jade (Heather Graham), who is now pregnant with her second child, and uses her prior connections in the business to inform them that Chow has walled himself up in the penthouse suite of Caesars Palace and has security agents at the door. Alan and Phil pursue him by clumsily lowering themselves onto his balcony from the roof. Planning once again to drug him, he attacks Phil and escapes, parachuting from the balcony. Stu follows Chow as he flies over Las Vegas, landing atop the limo and causing Stu to crash.
Stu stashes the incapacitated Chow in the trunk of the limo and picks up Phil and Alan from Caesars. They throw the remaining gold in the backseat and meet Marshall in the desert at sunrise. After checking the gold, he releases Doug to the group and unloads his gun into the trunk of the limo, seemingly killing Chow. Alan, however, had secretly opened a compartment in the backseat, allowing Chow to shoot Marshall and his henchmen right as they discover Chow had escaped the trunk. He goes to shoot them, but decides not to, acknowledging that Alan was the only one of the group that helped him. Chow offer Alan a piece of gold as a gift for his help and seems intent to reunite again in the future, but Alan turns him down after admitting that Chow is an unhealthy influence on him. Alan bids farewell to Chow for the last time. The group return to Vegas to retrieve Phil's minivan and return home, although Alan stays behind to ask Cassie out on a date, kissing her.
Six months later, Alan prepares for his wedding to Cassie with Doug, Stu and Phil. He acknowledges that he must now take responsibility for himself and resigns from the Wolfpack, although he makes weekly plans for the group to gather. As the group walks to Alan's wedding, a brief montage plays, showing the group of four in various settings from the previous films.
A mid-credits scene depicts Alan, Cassie and Phil waking up in a hotel room left in disarray, unable to remember the events of the previous night. Stu emerges from the bathroom, unaware that he now has breast implants, as Alan reveals that Chow had bought the wedding cake. Chow then appears naked from another room, commenting that the group had yet another "sick night," as the Capuchin monkey from the previous film drops on Stu's head.

The queen of the forest, Queen Tara (Beyoncé Knowles), decides to choose an heir to her throne and goes out to a field of leaf pods, guarded by a laid-back slug named Mub (Aziz Ansari) and an uptight snail named Grub (Chris O'Dowd), who wants to become a leaf man, to use her magic to tell her whom to choose. When she chooses, the Boggans attack. In the midst of the attack, Mandrake's son and lead general, Dagda (Blake Anderson), is killed by Ronin, but Tara is shot by Mandrake.
Meanwhile, M.K., annoyed at her father, decides to leave and leaves a note on one of his security monitors. Before she can leave, her and Bomba's three-legged dog, Ozzie, runs into the woods. While looking for Ozzie, M.K. sees Tara falling. A dying Tara gives her the pod and uses her magic to shrink her. She tells M.K. to take the pod to a Glowworm named Nim Galuu (Steven Tyler) before she dies. After meeting Ronin and the Leafmen, along with Mub and Grub, a confused and scared M.K. joins them. Ronin discovers that Nod has entered a race against other creatures and bugs on birds. He goes back on a deal with a tough frog named Bufo (Pitbull). Before Bufo and his goons can kill Nod, Ronin intervenes and orders the goons to leave. A reluctant Nod joins him, M.K., Mub, and Grub after hearing about Tara's death. They eventually find Nim Galuu, who is a showman and keeper of magic scrolls that tell what has occured during the times, in a tree. After learning about Tara's death, he leads the group down to the scrolls, where M.K. discovers Tara's brief message before shrinking her, and a message that will get her back to normal size.
When Ronin leaves, Nod takes M.K. on a deer ride and they fall in love. Mandrake (who Bufo fearfully reveals the location of the pod to as he overheard from Ronin and Nod) arrives and kidnaps and imprisons Mub and Grub, along with the pod, which he hopes to bloom in darkness to destroy the forest. To get into Boggan territory undiscovered, M.K., Nod, and Ronin set out to Bomba's house to get some disguises, where M.K. learns that her father is what the Leafmen call a "stomper" and have been leading Bomba off their trail. After getting the disguises, Ozzie (who earlier returns to Bomba's house) sees M.K. and chases her, catching Bomba's attention. He sees the group and catches M.K. but faints after seeing her. Before leaving, M.K. marks where the Leafmen territory is on one of Bomba's maps with a red push-pin. When they reach the Boggan land, which is a wasteland of dead trees, Ronin distracts the Boggans while M.K. and Nod rescue Mub, Grub, and the pod. They are eventually found out by Mandrake, who summons the Boggans to stop them. M.K., Nod, Mub, and Grub escape alive, but Ronin sacrifices himself to ensure their escape.
Before the full moon can sprout the pod at Nim Galuu's place via light, Mandrake's bats block the light, causng the pod to sprout in darkness. When the Leafmen set out to fight the Boggans (with Grub unsuccessfully joining them) M.K. sets out to get her father for assistance, but an exasperated Bomba (after regaining consciousness) decides to give up on what he has been doing to find his daughter and shuts off all his cameras, believing that he didn't really see M.K. and that he's been insane all his years, but changes his mind when he sees the push-pin in his map. After locating M.K., Bomba is overjoyed to see that he has been right and when he follows M.K. to Nim Galuu's, he (with M.K.'s persuasion) uses his iPod to make bat sounds, causing the bats to follow Bomba. Meanwhile, Mub and Nim Galuu try to stop Mandrake from reaching the pod, but are unsuccessful. Just then, Ronin appears, bearing scars and bruises from Boggans. Mandrake manages to outdo him, but Ronin is defended by Nod, who earlier finally understands the importance of teamwork. Before Mandrake can obtain his victory, the moonlight takes over the pod before it blooms in darkness, causing it to bloom in light and Mandrake gets sucked into a tree. It also heals the forest after much damage from the Boggans.
The chosen heir is a flower child, who idolizes and saves Tara earlier in the film. Grub becomes a Leafman, Nod and Ronin reconcile, and Nod and M.K. kiss and become a couple before the latter is given back her original height by the new queen. After reuniting with Bomba and becoming his assistant, M.K. is still in contact with her small friends she uses one of her dad's cameras to talk with Nod, who eventually fights with Mub (who has shown affection towards M.K.).

Star Trek : Into Darkness (2013)
Posted on 07:39 by smith
The USS Enterprise has been sent to a planet in the Nibiru system to observe a primitive civilization. Captain James T. Kirk violates the Prime Directive when First Officer Spock's life is jeopardized, exposing the Enterprise to the planet's civilization during the rescue. Called back to Earth, Kirk is demoted and ordered back to the academy, however Admiral Christopher Pike, reinstated as commander of Enterprise in Kirk's place, talks his superiors into offering Kirk the position of first officer of the Enterprise. The two attend an emergency meeting at Starfleet Command to discuss the bombing of a secret Section 31 installation in London, perpetrated by former Starfleet agent John Harrison. The meeting is attacked by a gunship piloted by Harrison, killing Pike. Kirk destroys the gunship, but Harrison escapes. Kirk is reinstated as the Enterprise's captain. After discovering that Harrison has fled to the Klingon homeworld of Kronos, Kirk receives orders from Admiral Alexander Marcus to hunt down Harrison. The Enterprise is supplied with 72 prototype photon torpedoes and ordered to fire them at Harrison's location once he is found. However, Montgomery Scott resigns in protest of the new weaponry, and Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy and Uhura convince Kirk to capture rather than kill Harrison.
Arriving on Kronos, Kirk, Spock and Uhura set out to capture Harrison but are intercepted by Klingons. Harrison kills the Klingons almost single handedly and surrenders after learning that the prototype torpedoes are aimed at him. Returning to the Enterprise, Harrison reveals his true identity as Khan, a genetically engineered superhuman who was awakened from a 300-year-long period of suspended animation[10] by Admiral Marcus to develop advanced weapons for a future war between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. The torpedoes are found to contain cryogenic pods with Khan's crew inside, who had previously been held hostage by Marcus.
The Enterprise is soon intercepted by an unmarked Federation warship, the USS Vengeance, designed by Khan and commanded by Admiral Marcus. Marcus demands that Kirk hand over Khan, but Kirk refuses. The Enterprise starts to warp to Earth to have Khan stand trial, but is attacked by the Vengeance mid-warp, exiting 237,000 kilometres from Earth. With the Enterprise severely damaged, Kirk offers to hand over Khan and the cryogenic pods in exchange for the lives of his crew. Marcus refuses, revealing that it was his intention all along to destroy the Enterprise in his plan to dispose of the superhumans and start a war with the Klingons. The Vengeance prepares to open fire, but suffers a power outage caused by Scotty, who infiltrated the ship after following coordinates given by Khan to Kirk. Kirk having left Spock in command, joins Scotty on the Vengeance after a space-jump with Khan from the Enterprise, and they take control of the bridge. Feeling Khan to be untrustworthy, Kirk and Scotty attempt to incapacitate him but are overpowered. Khan then kills Admiral Marcus and takes control of the Vengeance.
Khan negotiates with Spock, beaming Kirk and his boarding party back to the Enterprise in exchange for the torpedo/cryo-pods, planning to destroy the Enterprise. Spock, incapable of lying, acknowledges to Khan that those were his torpedoes but, did not volunteer that the torpedoes were activated and that he had ordered Dr. McCoy to remove Khan's crew from them, keeping the cryo-pods on the Enterprise. Spock reasoned that this subterfuge was necessary, having learned from Spock Prime (the older version of Spock from an alternate future timeline) that Khan Noonien Singh from his timeline was tyrannical and could not be trusted, and was finally defeated, but only at "great cost." The torpedoes incapacitate the Vengeance, and both damaged starships start descending towards Earth. Kirk re-aligns the Enterprise's warp core, enabling the crew to regain control of the vessel, but suffers fatal radiation poisoning in the process and dies. Khan intentionally crashes the Vengeance in downtown San Francisco, where Spock, is transported down to pursue Khan on foot. McCoy's experiment on a Tribble reveals that Khan's blood contains regenerative properties that may save Kirk. McCoy thus orders Kirk to be immediately cryogenically frozen in order to preserve his brain function. Uhura beams down to prevent Spock from killing Khan.
One year later, a revived Kirk addresses a memorial of the events. Khan has been resealed in his cryogenic pod and stored away with his crew. A rebuilt Enterprise then departs for a five-year mission of exploration.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
Posted on 01:23 by smith
PLOT
Following their successful Rio heist, Dominic Toretto and his crew of professional criminals have retired around the world: Dominic lives with Elena; his sister Mia and Brian O'Conner have had a son, Jack; Gisele and Han have moved to Tokyo; and Roman and Tej live in luxury.
Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs and his partner Riley investigate the destruction of a Russian military convoy, believing former British Special Forces soldier Owen Shaw and his crew are responsible. Hobbs tracks down Dominic and requests his help in bringing Shaw down; Dominic agrees when Hobbs presents him with a photo of Dominic's former girlfriend Letty Ortiz, whom he thought was dead. Dominic gathers his crew together and they accept the mission in exchange for full amnesty for their past crimes, which will allow them to return home to the United States; Mia and Elena remain with Jack.
The crew are led to Shaw's London hideout by one of his henchmen, but it is revealed to be a trap intended to distract the crew and police while Shaw's crew performs a heist elsewhere. Shaw flees by car, detonating his hideout behind him and disabling most of the police, leaving Dominic, Brian, Tej, Han, Gisele, Hobbs and Riley to pursue him. Letty arrives to help Shaw, and shoots Dominic without hesitation before escaping. Back at their headquarters, Hobbs tells Dominic's crew that Shaw is stealing components to create a Nightshade device which can disable power in an entire region; he intends to sell it to the highest bidder. Meanwhile, Shaw's investigation into the opposing crew reveals Letty's relationship with Dominic, but she is revealed to be suffering from amnesia.
Roman, Han, Gisele, and Riley investigate a subordinate of Shaw who reveals Shaw's connection to Arturo Braga, a drug lord imprisoned by Brian. Brian returns to the United States as a prisoner to gain access to Braga; Braga reveals that Brian will only get close to Shaw if Shaw allows it, and discloses how Letty survived the explosion that was thought to have killed her. Shaw went to finish her off but after learning that she had no memory, he took her in. Aided by a former ally in the FBI, Brian is released from prison. In London, Dominic races Letty in a street racing competition. Afterwards, the pair talk and Dominic returns her necklace. When she leaves, Shaw arrives and offers to let Dominic and his crew walk away without harm, but Dominic refuses to leave without Letty.
Tej tracks Shaw's next attack to a NATO Spanish military base. Shaw and his crew assault a military convoy carrying a computer chip to complete the Nightshade device. Dominic and his crew interfere, destroying the convoy while Shaw, accompanied by Letty, commandeers a tank and begins destroying cars along the highway. Roman manages to anchor his car to the tank, which Brian then pushes over a bridge, flipping the tank. Letty is thrown from the tank and Dominic risks his life to save her from falling to her death. In the aftermath, Shaw and his men are captured, but he reveals that he has kidnapped Mia. The crew are forced to release Shaw, and Riley (revealed to be working for Shaw) leaves with him; Letty chooses to remain with Dom. Shaw and his crew board a large aircraft while it is in motion on a runway while Dominic and his crew give chase. Dominic, Letty, Brian, and Hobbs board the craft; Brian rescues Mia and they escape using a car onboard. The plane attempts to take off but is held down by excess weight as Han, Gisele, Roman, Tej, Brian, and Mia tether the plane to their vehicles. Gisele sacrifices herself to save Han. Letty kills Riley and both she and Hobbs leap to safety, but Dominic pursues Shaw and the computer chip. Shaw is thrown from the plane as it crashes into the ground; Dom drives one of the remaining cars through the nose of the plane and reunites with his crew, giving the chip to Hobbs to secure their amnesty.
In the aftermath, Dominic and his team return to the United States. Hobbs and Elena arrive to confirm the crew are free. As Dominic's crew gather to share a meal, Dominic asks Letty if the gathering felt familiar; she answers no, but that it feels like home.
In a post-credits scene, while Han is being chased in Tokyo, he is hit by an oncoming car, resulting in Han's car exploding, killing him. The other car's driver walks away from the scene and calls Dominic, leaving him a threatening message.

Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)
Posted on 05:40 by smith
Picking up after the events of the original film, the people of Newt, Texas, led by Mayor Burt Hartman (Paul Rae), burn down the farmhouse of the Sawyer family for their role in aiding Jedidiah "Jed" Sawyer (Dan Yeager), also known as "Leatherface", in several murders. The arsonists are celebrated as heroes in the town, and the entire family is presumed dead. However, an infant, Edith Sawyer, is found by one of the townsmen, Gavin Miller (David Born), who promptly murders her mother, Loretta Sawyer (Dodie Brown), and adopts Edith with his wife Arlene (Sue Rock). Decades later, Edith has been raised by Gavin and Arlene as Heather Miller (Alexandra Daddario). One day, Heather is notified that her grandmother, Verna Carson (Marilyn Burns), has passed away and left everything to her; discovering that she was adopted, Heather and her boyfriend Ryan (Tremaine Neverson), and two other friends, Nikki (Tania Raymonde) and Kenny (Keram Malicki-Sánchez), travel to Newt to collect her inheritance. Along the way, the group picks up hitchhiker Darryl (Shaun Sipos).
When they arrive, the Sawyer family lawyer, Farnsworth (Richard Riehle), gives her the keys to the family house along with a letter from Verna. Excited about the property she now owns, Heather and her friends look through the house, decide to stay the night, and immediately set off to buy supplies and food, trusting Darryl to stay and look over the house. Darryl begins looting it and believes he will find valuables in a locked room in the cellar of the house; however, upon entering the locked room he is bludgeoned by Leatherface. Heather and her friends return and discover the house has been ransacked, but choose to let it go. As Kenny prepares dinner he finds the butler's cellar, where Darryl was killed, and Leatherface impales him on a hook. Heather finds a decomposing body upstairs and runs to find her friends, but she is knocked unconscious by Leatherface. Waking up in Leatherface's room, she manages to escape to the graveyard. Hearing the screams and chainsaw, Ryan and Nikki draw the attention of Leatherface, while Heather gets their van and picks up her friends.
In the ensuing chase, Leatherface saws through one of the van's tires, causing it to crash and subsequently kill Ryan. Heather escapes and makes her way into a carnival, but Leatherface escapes the police who are patrolling the grounds. Sheriff Hooper (Thom Barry) realizes that Leatherface survived the fire and is still alive; Mayor Hartman sends Officer Marvin (James MacDonald) to the Sawyer house to kill Leatherface, against Hooper's orders. While looking for Leatherface, Marvin is startled and accidentally kills Nikki, before being killed by Leatherface himself. While at the station, Heather learns of what the townspeople did to her family and flees. She is soon caught by Hartman's son, Deputy Carl Hartman (Scott Eastwood), who ties her up at the long-abandoned Sawyer slaughterhouse to lure Leatherface. Once there, Leatherface finds out that Heather is his cousin and cuts her ties, but is attacked by Mayor Hartman and another officer, Ollie (Ritchie Montgomery). As Heather hears her cousin being beaten she decides to help him, killing Ollie with a pitchfork and giving Leatherface his chainsaw, which he uses to force Mayor Hartman into a meat grinder. Afterward, Heather and Leatherface return home, where Heather reads the letter from Verna that tells her Leatherface will protect her in return for being taken care of. Realizing Leatherface is the only family she has left, Heather decides to stay with him.
In a post-credits scene, Gavin and Arlene show up at the mansion to visit Heather, intending on greedily splitting her assets. As they wait in front of the door, Leatherface answers with his chainsaw in hand.
